We’re happy to accept donations of clean, used furniture and household items free of mildew, smoke, & pet damage. Unfortunately we can’t accept bed frames, headboards, used mattresses and box springs, futons, rugs, large china hutches, TV armoires/Entertainment Centers, older-style televisions, space heaters, exercise or medical equipment, sheets, bed pillows, things with filters such as Air Conditioners and vacuums, and children's items which include: stuffed animals, cribs, changing tables, strollers, car seats, playpens, baby bottles, etc.

We accept donations during open hours. To get approval for your donation, please email pictures of the items you wish to donate to fx@mit.edu. Please note: MIT FX staff and volunteers cannot help move items into and out of the FX warehouse. For large items, please bring help. We do not have movers to pick up donations.

All donations are tax deductible. Let us know if you’d like a receipt.
